Being part of a few different clothing start ups, I was able to develop my skills greatly over the years.
My favorite brand and project was NOC. I ran this with a friend for a few years and we created a huge portfolio of work.
We created original designs and media while producing our products in house. This was a passion project and helped us grow our creative and industry processes.
/Experience
Being a self funded start up, I had to learn every aspect about how a business operates, the skills to grow a brand and develop products.
I purchased machinery to manufacture our products inhouse. I learned to use these proficiently and developed our own specific methods.
Our sales channels were primarily online and through social circles. We found our niche in motorsports and counterculture.
/Workflow
We created original designs from concept drawings and refined them via software. These designs were reworked until they could be processed through our machinery.
We then produced our items with a variety of machinery and techniques. We would then shoot promotional media and post them for sale.
Alongside this, we would also attend events with custom designed merch and network to bring in more work.
