I started recording video’s with friends while riding BMX. This snowballed into us startting a small media company filming flow and pro riders in NZ.
Filming was only part of the fun. I really enjoyed the editing aspect and refined my skills through multiple side projects.
/Passion
When I can include my interests as a subject of film, I create my best work. I’ve focused mostly on BMX, Skateboarding, Vehicles and art. Alongside this I have created alternative side projects focusing on how sound influences visual media. This is an avenue I’ll continue to explore.
/Workflow
Originally I used a phone camera rigged to a mechanical clamp as a stabilizer, this led me to investigating new tools. Recently I’ve stuck with a DSLR and multiple lenses to create the aesthetic I’m after.
Editing video is primarily done through Adobe Premier and After Effects. I’ve become proficient with these programs and enjoy the process.
